Founded in 2015 with the mission of empowering people with the skills and knowledge to maintain their own bikes. Colchester Bike Kitchen (CBK) also run maintenance classes for upkeeping of bikes to keep bikes in good use.
Where it’s not possible or economical to repair a bike, CBK encourage users to donate it to the local charity Re-Cycle bikes to Africa, where it can be refurbished for resale or stripped down for parts or to be recycled.
