BLUEPRINT to a Circular Economy Project Update: February 2022
More exciting developments see the BLUEPRINT Project hit the ground running this February.
- The Circular Economy Training Programme is now being delivered across England and France
- Analysis of SHIFT Pilots continues, to determine the most effective ways to engage residents in waste reduction
- Plans for the BLUEPRINT Roadshow develop
- Project partners will gather in Caen for the bi-annual Steering Group Meeting
A first draft of the BLUEPRINT Model, a tool that will help local authorities to understand and progress their transition to a circular economy, was presented to partners for feedback. It continues to develop further from the reflections discussed.
Circular Economy Training ProgrammeESITC Caen, UPJV and Essex County Council have now delivered their first training modules to learners. More modules are to be delivered during March. See the list here.
SHIFT PilotsEssex County Council has started rolling out resources as part of their food waste pilot and sourced new stock to be added to the Essex Library of Things. New items include sports equipment to help your family get active and learn new skills!
Brighton and Hove City Council will soon complete its school workshop series focussing on electronic- waste. Meanwhile, PECT will be creating more resources to accompany their Fox’s Waste Adventure school booklet and Kent County Council will explore a flats recycling project.
Project CommunicationsThe agenda for the BLUEPRINT Roadshow, a week-long series of free virtual circular economy-related events, is now complete. Partners will finalise details at the upcoming Steering Group Meeting, before contacting an exciting range of speakers.
